My Uncle, Joseph Sears Lovett, Jr., was killed in action over Port Moresby, New Guinea, on May 4, 1942. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star posthumously. That's his mother (my grandmother) accepting the medals. He was 25 years old when he died and my grandmother never got over the loss.
Font is 1942 Report, which seemed only fitting

What an amazing tribute page to your uncle - so sorry for your grandmother's loss - that must have been devastating for her. This is absolutely stunning though!!
