2 Mama's Wedding Day

Another layout featuring my grandmother! In case you're wondering about the title...
my parents and I lived with my grandmother and grandfather until I was four or five years old. The story goes that I assumed that I had two mothers and two fathers. My mother was Mama and my grandmother was 2 Mama. (No, my grandfather wasn't 2 Daddy. My dad's name was Bob. Everyone in the house was calling him "Bob" but when I tried it came out "Bobboo." So my dad was Bobboo and my grandfather was 2 Bobboo. Eventually I got around to calling my father "daddy," but my grandparents were always 2 Mama and 2 Bobboo.)

I couldn't believe it when I saw Fhung's fantastic Phrench Phoebe kit. I immediately thought of this photograph of my grandmother. It is completely unretouched. Those are the exact flowers she carried at her wedding and they match so perfectly the rose in the BG paper. And the paper in the "frame" around the photograph almost matches exactly the color and pattern in the pillow under her feet. It's as if Fhung was looking at this photograph when she designed the kit.

Almost everything is from the Phrench Phoebe kit:

2 BG papers, 2 Labels, 2 charms. The 2 corners are from Evening Falls and the 2 strands of beads are from the Love Burst kit. Fonts: English 111 Presto and The King and Queen font.

Incidentally, although you probably can't make out the detail, that's an actual copy of my grandparents' marriage certificate on one of the labels.
